Zernike Rescaling

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If graphs should be created for other pupil diameters than actually measured Datagraph can re-scale all coefficients to the same pupil diameter. If, for example, some eyes where measured having a 6 mm pupil diameter and others only 5 mm, Datagraph may re-scale the 6 mm pupil data to 5 mm and all eyes can be presented on the same graph. Even Zernike data extrapolation (from 5 to 6 mm for example) is possible, but depending on existing wavefront aberrations data may become unreliable. To avoid extrapolation check the 'no extrapolation' button in the lower part of the chart options default settings.

Re-calculated Zernike Data will be marked in blue in the diameter column of the Aberrations tab. The last column 'Calc. from' at the right of this table indicates which actually measured dataset was used for interpolation/extrapolation. The user may change the diameter value in the 'calc. from' column in order to re-do the calculation. (if for example real WF data of 5.5 and 5.6 mm was imported the user have the choice to calculate the 6 mm data from either 5.5 or 5.6 coefficients)
